What is the deadline for applications?

The applications for our 2012 intake will open in January 2012 and close at the end of April 2012. The careers section is currently being updated and will re-launch shortly with full details. Please follow our twitter feed for further updates.

What is the recruitment process?

Following the receipt of your application form, the People and Development team will screen all applications. The successful applicants will be invited to attend an Assessment Day. If we are able to offer you a position following the Assessment Day, the start date will be early September 2012.

The Assessment Days for 2012 are planned to start in April. The People and Development Team will endeavour to get back to all applicants, whatever the outcome, at each stage of the process.

Who do you typically look for?

G&T has long been renowned for employing only the brightest and most innovative of minds. Our graduate recruits are of the highest calibre with a dynamic attitude, a creative and proactive approach to problem solving and an ability to build strong and effective working relationships.
We require that candidates have a minimum of a 2.1 degree and at least 240 UCAS points at A-level (or equivalent), as well as a passion to succeed in one of the most exciting and progressive industries in the world.

What type of roles do you recruit for?

We recruit graduates as Assistant Quantity Surveyors and Assistant Project Managers.
In addition to our graduate scheme, we offer opportunities for trainees, summer placements and internships.

What is the APC?

The APC is the Assessment of Professional Competence and is the process by which the RICS determine that you are competent to practice as a chartered surveyor or project manager.
Prior to the final assessment, you must complete a minimum of 24 months of experience and structured training. During this time you are required to achieve specific competencies and fulfil certain criteria.
To aid you with this G&T will appoint you a Supervisor and Counsellor. Your Supervisor oversees your day-to-day training while your Counsellor monitors your overall progress.
