EDF Energy
Live chat and key company information
Where can you push yourself further and use fresh creative thinking to define the UK energy industry for generations to come? Right here at EDF Energy. Our mission is to deliver both low-carbon energy and a great customer experience. Helping us to do that will provide you with some of the most technically challenging, professionally inspiring, personally rewarding opportunities imaginable.
About the programmes
We generate a fifth of the UK’s electricity and play a central role in our nuclear future, so you might think most of our graduates come from an engineering background. In fact, we also have plenty of routes for those with the skills to manage the commercial, logistical and human aspects of EDF Energy. That equates to seven graduate programmes in all: Nuclear Science and Engineering; Analysts; Business Projects Analysts; Human Factors; Human Resources; Finance; and Marketing. Whichever starting point you choose, prepare for an exciting journey, with a scale and scope of opportunity few organisations can match.
About you
The specific qualifications we look for vary from programme to programme, but you will need at least a 2.1 degree and a demonstrable interest in the work we do. Plus, wherever you join, there’ll be plenty to get your teeth into from day one, so you must be incredibly eager to learn. Expect to find yourself in all kinds of new and exciting areas, working on a variety of projects to see how the organisation fits together and building a valuable network of contacts as you go. If your ambition runs to gaining a relevant professional qualification, all the resources and support you need will be waiting right here too.
About EDF Energy
A wholly-owned subsidiary of the EDF Group, itself one of Europe’s largest energy groups, EDF Energy is one of the UK’s largest energy companies and its largest producer of low-carbon electricity. What really sets us apart, however, is our fresh approach to the industry. Everything we do is underpinned by a clear customer focus and a drive towards a sustainable future. Because it’s these two factors, we believe, that will define the future of the entire UK energy industry.
